Cut the chicken breast into strips, then marinate with gyros spice mix and olive oil. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Tip: The longer you marinate it, the more intense the flavor of the meat will be.
Cook the meat in a hot pan for 6â8 minutes until nicely browned. Don't overcrowd the pan so that it browns instead of steams!
Wash the vegetables: tear the lettuce, slice the tomatoes and cucumber, and thinly slice the red onion. Tip: Prepare the vegetables just before serving to keep them fresh.
For the tzatziki, mix the Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper. Store chilled until serving.
Cut the potatoes into fries and bake or fry in oil until golden brown. Tip: Soaking them in cold water beforehand makes them even crispier.
To serve: layer the gyros meat in buns or pita bread with lettuce, vegetables, and tzatziki. Serve with french fries and soda or iced tea, served cold. Tip: Arrange it on a tray or large plate for a restaurant-style presentation.
