    Preparation Steps

    1

Slice the tomato and red onion into thin slices. Wash and dry the iceberg lettuce.

    2

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions. Shape them into patties, then season both sides with salt and pepper.

    3

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add a little olive oil and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.

    4

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.

    5

Halve the hamburger buns and toast the cut sides in a dry skillet or on the grill for about 1 minute.

    6

Grill the pineapple slices until they are caramelized and have an even more intense flavor.

    7

Spread barbecue sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with iceberg lettuce and a beef patty.

    8

Add the grilled pineapple, tomato slices, and red onion.

    9

Spread mayonnaise on the top half of each bun and place it on top of the hamburger.

    10

Serve immediately, while the cheese and pineapple are still warm.
