Freshly made Hawaii hamburger with grilled pineapple

Hawaii Hamburger (with Pineapple)

The Hawaii hamburger is a unique, sweet and savory flavor combination, offering a distinctive gastronomic experience thanks to the grilled pineapple and juicy beef patty. Pineapple is often used in Hawaiian-style dishes because it caramelizes nicely when grilled and complements savory meats perfectly. The addition of BBQ sauce intensifies the flavor even further. This burger is the perfect choice for summer barbecues or any occasion when you crave something special.

    Preparation Steps

    1

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 equal-sized patties.

    2

In a hot skillet or on a grill, cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip.

    3

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty, then cover the skillet to allow the cheese to melt.

    4

In a separate skillet or on the grill, cook the pineapple slices for 1-2 minutes on each side, until lightly caramelized.

    5

Halve the hamburger buns and spread butter on the cut sides. Toast in a skillet until golden brown.

    6

On the bottom half of each bun, spread mayonnaise and BBQ sauce, then add a lettuce leaf.

    7

Place the cheeseburger patty on top, then add the grilled pineapple and a slice of tomato.

    8

Spread ketchup on the top half of the bun, then place it on the burger.

    9

Serve immediately with French fries or a fresh salad.
