Hawaiian pizza with ham and pineapple

Hawaii Pizza (Canada)

The history of Hawaiian pizza begins in Canada, where Sam Panopoulos, a Greek-born chef, invented this sweet and savory combination in the 1960s. Although the pizza is named Hawaii, it was actually inspired by a can of pineapple. The pairing of sweet fruit and salty ham is divisive, but has gained many fans worldwide. If you love the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, this pizza is definitely worth a try!
