Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (22 cm) cake pan, or line it with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Stir in the honey and let it cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Pour the honey-butter mixture into the egg mixture, then add the vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Gradually sift the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing continuously until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Before serving, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a little extra honey for an even more intense flavor.
