Lemonade is one of the best-known and most beloved refreshing drinks, cooling people around the world for millennia. In addition to the original lemon version, flavored variations such as the ginger-honey combination have become increasingly popular in recent years. Ginger is known for its natural anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits, while honey not only sweetens but also provides additional health benefits. This recipe is perfect for the summer heat, but can also be an excellent immune booster during a cold. Tip: For an even fresher effect, you can add a little freshly squeezed lime juice!

    Preparation Steps

    1

Prepare the ingredients. Wash the lemons thoroughly. Juice one lemon and slice the other into rings. Peel the ginger and finely grate it.

    2

In a small saucepan, bring 200 ml of water to a boil. Add the grated ginger and let it simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the flavors. Remove from the heat and let it cool completely.

    3

Strain the ginger infusion through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, ensuring only the clear liquid remains.

    4

Add the lemon juice, honey, and the remaining cold water to the pitcher. Stir well until the honey is completely dissolved.

    5

Add the lemon slices and mint leaves. Stir gently to combine the flavors.

    6

Before serving, place ice cubes in glasses and pour the refreshing lemonade over them. Serve immediately!
