Prepare the ingredients: deseed and finely chop the jalapeño peppers, peel and grate the garlic, juice the orange, and zest the peel.
In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and jalapeño and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant.
Pour in the freshly squeezed orange juice, apple cider vinegar, and honey, then stir well to combine.
Add the grated orange zest, salt, and pepper, then bring the sauce to a simmer.
Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.
Taste the sauce and adjust the flavors as needed, adding more honey for sweetness or jalapeño for heat.
Let the sauce cool slightly, then blend until smooth using an immersion blender. Serve with grilled meats, seafood, or vegetables.
