Kebab Fusion with grilled meats, hummus, and yogurt sauce

Kebab Fusion

Kebab Fusion is a modern culinary experience that combines the rich spices of Turkish kebabs with the unique flavors of Asian cuisine. During the Ottoman Empire, many Asian flavors entered Turkish cuisine through the spice trade, so ginger and soy sauce are not foreign elements. In this recipe, we combine the classic Turkish kebab with Asian spices and grilled side dishes to create a completely new, fusion dish. This dish is ideal for those who love bold flavors and new gastronomic experiences.

    Preparation Steps

    1

Grate the onions and garlic, then mix with the ground meat, cumin, smoked paprika, chili flakes, ginger, salt, and black pepper.

    2

Cut the chicken into smaller cubes and marinate with soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, smoked paprika, and crushed garlic.

    3

Shape the ground meat into oblong kebabs and thread the marinated chicken onto skewers. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    4

Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and cook the meats for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are crispy on the outside and remain juicy on the inside.

    5

While the meat is cooking, halve the tomatoes and bell peppers and grill for a few minutes until slightly softened.

    6

Cook the bulgur or rice in lightly salted water, then let it stand for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    7

Serve the kebabs on a large platter, arranging the grilled vegetables, bulgur or rice, hummus, and yogurt sauce alongside. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Serve the flatbread separately.
