    Preparation Steps

    1

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). If using a convection oven, preheat to 320°F (160°C). Prepare a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

    2

Melt the butter and mix it with the granulated sugar and vanilla sugar until light and creamy.

    3

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

    4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

    5

Zest the lemon and add the zest and lemon juice to the batter.

    6

Gradually add the milk, mixing until you have a smooth batter.

    7

Fill the cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

    8

Once baked, let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
