Low-carb focaccia served

Low-Carb Focaccia

Focaccia is a classic Italian bread, a favorite in Mediterranean cuisine. This low-carb version is a healthy alternative to traditional focaccia, using almond flour as the base. The olive oil-drizzled dough creates a crispy crust and soft interior, perfect as a side dish or a light dinner, served with a fresh salad.

    Preparation Steps

    1

In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, oregano, and salt.

    2

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add the yolks to the dry ingredients.

    3

Pour the olive oil into the egg yolks and mix well.

    4

Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the dough, being careful not to deflate them.

    5

Pour the dough into an olive oil-greased baking pan and spread evenly.

    6

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and crispy.

    7

After baking, let it cool for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
