    Preparation Steps

    1

Peel the mandarins, separate the segments, and set aside.

    2

Combine the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the mandarin segments to allow the flavors to meld.

    3

In a skillet, toast the breadcrumbs with half of the butter until lightly golden brown.

    4

Lay out the filo pastry sheets one at a time on a clean kitchen towel. Brush each sheet with a little melted butter, then sprinkle with the toasted breadcrumbs.

    5

Evenly distribute the mandarin filling over the filo pastry sheets.

    6

Carefully roll up the strudels and place them in a greased baking pan.

    7

Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of the strudels to give them a beautiful golden-brown color while baking.

    8

Bake the strudels in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30-40 minutes, until nicely browned and crispy.

    9

Before serving, let it cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
