Shape the mixture into evenly sized meatballs and place them on a plate.

To make the cheese sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan, then stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.
Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Once the sauce has thickened, add the grated cheese and nutmeg. Stir until smooth and the cheese is completely melted.
Place the cooked meatballs on a serving dish and pour the hot cheese sauce over them.
Serve fresh with pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
