500 g Beef (e.g., sirloin)
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Sugar
3 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Ginger (grated)
2 tbsp Cornstarch
3 tbsp Sunflower Oil
1 Onion
2 stalks Green Onions
100 ml Water

    Slice the beef into thin strips, then toss with cornstarch to coat the pieces.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef for 2-3 minutes, or until browned on the outside. Set aside.

    In the same skillet, heat the remaining oil and sauté the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Add the grated ginger and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.

    Pour in the soy sauce, sugar, and water, then stir to combine. Bring to a boil and let the sauce thicken for 3-4 minutes.

    Return the beef to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
