Peel and finely chop the garlic. Zest the orange, then squeeze the juice.
Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic until fragrant.
Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved and caramelized.
Pour in the tomato sauce, orange juice, orange zest, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well.
Stir in the chili flakes, smoked paprika, and salt. Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. For a spicier flavor, add more chili flakes.
Let the sauce cool, then transfer to sterilized jars. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
