Pour the orange juice and water into a medium saucepan and begin to heat over medium heat.
Cut the lemon into thin slices and add them to the drink.
Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, and star anise, then stir.
Add two tablespoons of honey and stir until completely dissolved.
Slowly heat for 10-15 minutes, but do not boil, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes to allow the aromas to further infuse.
Strain the punch into a pitcher or mugs to remove the spices.
Garnish with a fresh lemon slice and a cinnamon stick, then serve warm.
