    Preparation Steps

    1

Zest the orange and squeeze out the juice. Chop the marzipan into small pieces to ensure it incorporates easily into the dough.

    2

Sift the flour into a large bowl, then add the yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix thoroughly.

    3

Gradually add the warm water and yogurt, and begin kneading the dough. Knead until you have a smooth, elastic dough.

    4

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

    5

Once the dough has risen, divide it into 6-8 equal pieces and shape them into balls. Roll each ball out into a thin disc.

    6

Heat a tablespoon of oil in a hot skillet or pan. Cook the naans for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

    7

Brush the freshly cooked naans with the orange syrup, then sprinkle with finely chopped marzipan, allowing the dough to absorb the flavors.
