Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and ground garlic. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
Place the patties on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Halve the hamburger buns and spread a thin layer of butter on the cut sides. Place the buns in the oven for 3-4 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each bun, then top with a lettuce leaf.
Place the cheesy beef patty on top of the lettuce, followed by tomato slices, red onion, and cucumber.
Spread ketchup on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.
Serve immediately with french fries or a fresh salad.
