    Preparation Steps

    1

Wash the peaches, peel them, remove the pits, and chop them into small pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice to help retain their freshness.

    2

In a bowl, combine the chopped peaches with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    3

On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry and roll it out thinly.

    4

Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the middle of the pastry to absorb the juices from the peaches during baking. Evenly distribute the peach filling in the center of the pastry.

    5

Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling, then flip it so the seam is on the bottom. Brush the top with beaten egg.

    6

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the strudel for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

    7

Let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and garnished with fresh peach slices.
