Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the pita breads on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over each pita.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then arrange the pepperoni slices or ham on top.
Season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with a little olive oil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serve immediately, sliced or whole.
