Fiorentina pizza with spinach, egg, and Parmesan cheese

Pizza Fiorentina (with Spinach and Egg)

Pizza Fiorentina is a popular Italian dish and an iconic element of Tuscan cuisine. The combination of spinach and egg has long been present in Italian food, resulting in a light yet flavorful pizza. Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses soften the flavors, while the egg adds a rich, creamy texture to the toppings. If you love classic Italian pizzas, Fiorentina is the perfect choice for you!

    Preparation Steps

    1

In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and dry yeast. Add the warm water and olive oil, and knead until you have a smooth and elastic dough. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.

    2

Roll out the risen dough into a thin, circular shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    3

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with minced garlic and a pinch of black pepper.

    4

Scatter the fresh spinach over the sauce, then sprinkle with grated mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

    5

Make a small well in the center of the pizza and carefully crack the eggs into it.

    6

Sprinkle with oregano and place in a preheated oven.

    7

Bake in a preheated oven at 430°F (220°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, the cheese is melted, and the egg whites are set, but the yolks are still slightly runny.

    8

Slice the pizza and serve immediately. Enjoy!
