Finely chop the onion and garlic. In a large bowl, combine the ground seal meat, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties and place them on a plate. Let them rest in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Halve the burger buns and lightly toast them in the skillet until crispy.
Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a slice of cheese and the seal meat patty. Top with a slice of tomato and a spoonful of mayonnaise.
Place the top bun on and serve the burgers immediately with french fries or a salad.
