Remove the tofu from its packaging and gently press out excess moisture using paper towels. Cut the tofu into approximately 2 cm cubes.
In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and grated ginger. Add the tofu cubes and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
In another bowl, mix together the sesame seeds and cornstarch. Toss the marinated tofu cubes in this mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
Before serving, place the baked tofu on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve sprinkled with fresh sesame seeds and offer soy sauce or sweet chili sauce for dipping.
