Adding the Base: Pour in the tomato puree, then stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
Seasoning: Add the water, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened.
Refining: For a smoother consistency, you can blend the sauce with an immersion blender. Then, let it cook for another 1-2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving: Serve the sauce warm with pasta, grilled vegetables, or meats. Sprinkle with fresh sesame seeds for an even more intense flavor.
