Smoked BBQ top sirloin served

Smoked BBQ Top Sirloin

Smoked BBQ top sirloin is a truly premium BBQ dish that combines the rich flavor of beef with a smoky and juicy texture. The slow smoking and subsequent grilling result in a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The top sirloin is one of the most popular choices for steak lovers, as it is extremely juicy and flavorful when cooked properly. The smoke from oak, hickory, or cherry wood perfectly enhances the natural taste of the beef, while the BBQ glaze adds a pleasantly spicy and sweet layer. This dish is the perfect choice for BBQ parties, elegant dinners, or even a special weekend lunch. If you want a truly authentic BBQ experience, serve it with grilled vegetables and a side of roasted potatoes!

    Preparation Steps

    1

Pat the top sirloin dry with paper towels, then let it rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.

    2

In a bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, and ground cumin. Thoroughly rub this mixture all over the top sirloin.

    3

Drizzle with olive oil, then let it rest for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    4

Preheat your smoker or grill to 230-250°F (110-120°C) and prepare your smoking wood for the desired aroma.

    5

Place the top sirloin on the smoker rack and smoke for 45-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 122-131°F (50-55°C) for medium rare.

    6

Remove the top sirloin from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes.

    7

Sear on all sides for 1-2 minutes on a hot grill grate or in a skillet to develop a nice crust.

    8

Brush with a thin layer of BBQ sauce, then let it rest for another 5 minutes.

    9

Slice thinly and serve with grilled vegetables or roasted potatoes.
