Peel the garlic and mince it very finely, or grate it, to ensure it distributes evenly throughout the sauce.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the smoked paprika and stir quickly to release its flavor, being careful not to burn it.
Stir in the tomato paste until well combined. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Add the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.
Pour in the water and simmer over low heat for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
Once it reaches the desired consistency, remove from the heat and let it cool slightly. Serve with meats, grilled vegetables, or potatoes.
