Preparation: Mince the garlic and ginger finely, and slice the chili peppers.
Sauté: Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic, ginger, and chili peppers and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant.
Add Spices: Add the smoked paprika and stir well to combine with the sautéed ingredients.
Add Liquids: Pour in the tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Stir to combine, then add the brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
Simmer: Simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded.
Purée: Use an immersion blender to purée the sauce until smooth, if desired.
Serve: Serve the sauce warm or cold with grilled meats, burgers, or roasted vegetables.
