Smoked pork ribs served with pickled vegetables

Smoked Pork Ribs with Pickled Vegetables

Smoked pork ribs are a classic Hungarian dish that has been popular on tables for generations. Thanks to slow cooking, the meat becomes tender and flavorful, while the freshness of the mixed pickles perfectly balances the rich taste of the meat. This dish is especially popular during the cold months, but can be prepared at any time when you crave a truly hearty and traditional meal. Served with a slice of fresh bread and pickled vegetables, it becomes complete.

    Preparation Steps

    1

Wash the smoked pork ribs and cut them into smaller pieces. This will help them cook more evenly and make them easier to serve.

    2

In a large pot, pour in the water, then add the garlic cloves, bay leaves, and black peppercorns.

    3

Add the smoked pork rib pieces to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.

    4

Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the pot and place them on a platter to keep warm.

    5

To serve, arrange the rib pieces on plates and serve with the mixed pickled vegetables. Enjoy it fresh!
