Wash the smoked pork ribs and cut them into smaller pieces. This will help them cook more evenly and make them easier to serve.
In a large pot, pour in the water, then add the garlic cloves, bay leaves, and black peppercorns.
Add the smoked pork rib pieces to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
Once the ribs are cooked, remove them from the pot and place them on a platter to keep warm.
