Thoroughly wash the green apple, then slice it thinly to allow its flavor to infuse the drink well.
Pour the apple cider into a medium-sized saucepan and heat over medium heat.
Add the green apple slices, cinnamon stick, and cloves to the saucepan.
Gently warm the cider, being careful not to boil it, to allow the flavors to meld. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
Stir in the honey and continue stirring until it is completely dissolved.
Strain the finished cider to remove the spices and apple slices.
Serve warm in heat-resistant glasses, garnished with a fresh green apple slice and a cinnamon stick.
