Bring 250 ml of water to a boil, then steep the black tea in it for 3-4 minutes to create a strong brew. Strain afterwards.
Pour the apple juice into a large saucepan, then add the freshly brewed black tea.
Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, freshly grated orange zest, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Heat the drink over low heat, but do not boil. Let it simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes to allow the spices to infuse well.
Add honey or brown sugar, then stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
Strain the spices, and pour the spiced cider tea into mugs or heat-resistant glasses.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or an orange slice, then serve immediately for a warming effect!
