Juice the lemons and set aside.
In a saucepan, heat the water, then add the cinnamon stick, cloves, and freshly grated ginger.
Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 10 minutes to allow the spices to release their aromas.
Remove from the heat, then stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey. Mix well until the honey is completely dissolved.
Strain the drink to remove the spices, then pour into mugs.
Garnish with a slice of lemon or a piece of orange peel, if desired. Serve immediately.
