Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken wings on both sides until golden brown.
For the spicy glaze, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, and finely chopped chili pepper (or chili flakes) in a bowl. Mix well until you have a smooth, even glaze.
Pour the glaze over the chicken wings and simmer over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened and coats the wings evenly.
Serve the chicken wings with the spicy glaze, garnished with finely chopped fresh parsley. Serve with fresh vegetables or roasted potatoes, if desired.
