Spicy peanut sauce served

Spicy Peanut Sauce

Peanut sauce became famous in Asia, especially in Thailand and Indonesia. The sauce's rich, creamy texture and slightly sweet, spicy flavor perfectly complement grilled meats, noodles, and vegetables. The original versions were often used for satay dishes and have since become popular in many kitchens around the world. Served with fresh vegetables on a hot summer day, it provides a truly refreshing and special taste experience. If you like spicier flavors, you can add extra chili flakes or a little Sriracha sauce.

    Preparation Steps

    1

Mince the garlic and ginger very finely.

    2

In a medium saucepan, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, and honey.

    3

Add the minced garlic, ginger, and chili flakes, then mix well to combine.

    4

Pour in the coconut milk and water, and whisk until smooth.

    5

Place the saucepan over medium heat and warm gently, stirring constantly to prevent the sauce from clumping.

    6

Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.

    7

If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little more water and stir until smooth.

    8

Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Serve with meats, noodles, or fresh vegetables.
