    Preparation Steps

    1

Thoroughly wash the grapes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.

    2

Select a clean canning jar and place the grapes inside.

    3

In a saucepan, bring the water, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, bay leaves, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and red pepper flakes to a boil.

    4

Peel and lightly crush the garlic cloves. Chop the hot pepper and add both to the brine. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    5

Once the brine has boiled, let it cool slightly so it's not too hot when poured over the grapes.

    6

Pour the lukewarm brine over the grapes, ensuring they are completely submerged.

    7

Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. The longer they sit, the more flavorful they will become.

    8

Before serving, let the jar stand at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to fully develop.
