Thoroughly wash the strawberries, remove the green stems, and halve or slice them if they are large.
In a medium saucepan, pour the apple cider, add the honey, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Stir until the honey is dissolved.
Add the strawberries to the saucepan and heat the drink over medium heat. Tip: Do not boil, to preserve the color and freshness of the strawberries.
Add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice to balance the sweetness.
Stir well and let it stand for 5 minutes off the heat to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, strain the cider and arrange the strawberry slices tastefully in the glasses. Garnish with fresh mint.
