Stuffed turkey is a classic holiday dish that makes every family event, especially Christmas and Easter dinners, special. The tender meat of the turkey is complemented by a rich stuffing, which can be made with chestnuts, vegetables, or dried fruits. The dish is not only delicious but also impressive, as serving a whole turkey brings joy to everyone.
Although preparing stuffed turkey is time-consuming, the end result is guaranteed to be worth the effort. The turkey is generously seasoned and slowly baked, making the meat perfectly tender and mouthwatering. The dish is truly elegant and an excellent choice for any festive occasion!
Thoroughly clean the turkey, then rub the inside with salt and pepper.
Mix the butter with crushed garlic, rosemary, thyme, and lemon juice. Carefully loosen the skin of the turkey and spread the flavored butter underneath.
Place the onions, carrots, and celery inside the turkey's cavity.
Place the turkey in a roasting pan and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for approximately 3-3.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Baste the turkey with its own juices during baking to prevent it from drying out.
If using white wine, pour it under the turkey during the last 30 minutes of baking.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes before carving and serving.
