Prepare the ingredients: grate the ginger, mince the garlic, and thinly slice the green onions.
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to create the teriyaki marinade.
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let it marinate for 20-30 minutes, allowing the salmon to absorb the flavors.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon, skin-side down, for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through.
While cooking, spoon some of the marinade from the skillet over the salmon to enhance its flavor.
When serving, sprinkle the salmon with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve with cooked rice or steamed vegetables.
