⭕ 1 pinch Salt
⭕ 100 g Cold unsalted butter
⭕ 1 Egg

⭕ 2 tbsp Strong brewed coffee
⭕ 1 tsp Cocoa powder

    Preparation Steps

    Prepare all the ingredients. In a bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese with the coffee.

    In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt.

    Dice the cold butter and add it to the flour mixture. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and then add the milk. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined and a dough forms.

    Shape the dough into a disc and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Slightly flatten the top and use a sharp knife to cut crosswise slits into the top, forming an 'X'.
