In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey with breadcrumbs, egg, Hungarian Sweet Paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties. Place them on a plate and let them rest for 10 minutes.
Heat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Brush both sides of the turkey patties with olive oil. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cover the skillet or grill to allow the cheese to melt.
Meanwhile, halve the hamburger buns and toast them in a dry skillet or lightly brushed with olive oil until golden brown on the inside.
Prepare the vegetables: slice the tomato and red onion into thin rings.
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread the mixture on the cut sides of the toasted buns.
Assemble the burgers: place lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by the cheesy turkey patty, tomato, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve immediately, preferably with fries or a fresh salad. Tip: For even juicier patties, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture before mixing!
