Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Melt the butter, then whisk it together with the sugar and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fill the muffin liners about three-quarters full with batter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
