Vegan walnut cake decorated with creamy plant-based cream and walnuts

Vegan Walnut Cake

Walnut cake is one of the most popular desserts in classic Hungarian and Central European cuisine, and now you can make it in a vegan version. Applesauce provides natural moisture and sweetness, while plant-based cream adds a light creaminess to the cake. This healthier alternative is perfect for those who want to enjoy a dairy-free but delicious cake.

    2

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and ground walnuts.

    3

In another bowl, combine the plant-based milk, coconut oil, sugar, applesauce, and vanilla extract.

    4

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
