Wagyu beef waffle served

Wagyu Beef Waffles

Waffles are traditionally a sweet treat that originated in Belgium, but savory versions have gained popularity in recent years. Savory waffles have become a trend, particularly in the United States, where they are often served with chicken or other savory toppings. Wagyu beef is a premium Japanese beef renowned for its distinctive marbling and flavor. Combining these two elements results in a unique and luxurious dish, perfect for an elegant brunch or a hearty dinner.

    Preparation Steps

    1

Prepare all the ingredients. Measure out the flour, milk, and other ingredients. Finely chop the onion and garlic.

    2

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center.

    3

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the milk and melted butter. Mix well and pour into the dry ingredients.

    4

Using a whisk or wooden spoon, gently mix the batter until just smooth. Be careful not to overmix, as this will make the waffles tougher.

    5

Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease with oil or butter. Pour in a portion of batter and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

    6

While the waffles are cooking, prepare the Wagyu beef. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

    7

Add the ground Wagyu beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until browned.

    8

Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and stir well to combine. Simmer for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

    9

To serve, place the savory Wagyu beef mixture on top of the waffles, then sprinkle with grated cheese.
