300 g Flour
150 ml Water
1 Egg
1 tsp Salt
10 g Sugar
1 tsp Baking powder
0.5 tsp Baking soda
15 ml Oil (for kneading)
1000 ml Sunflower oil (for frying)

    Preparation Steps

    In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.

    Add the egg, water, and oil, then knead the dough until smooth.

    Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for at least 1 hour.

    On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1 cm (1/2 inch) thick. Cut into long strips.

    Take two strips, place them on top of each other, and gently press them together in the middle with a chopstick, so they stick together while frying.

    Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to approximately 350°F (180°C).

    Carefully lower the dough strips into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning constantly to ensure even cooking.

    Once cooked, place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
